We advise you to familiarise yourself with the risk, expectations and complications that come with getting filler and anti-wrinkle. As with any treatment, it comes with possible risks/side effects and its impetrative you know of this before proceeding with your treatment.
We are not magicians, please have realistic expectations as to what can be achieved – as the old saying goes “Rome wasn’t built in a day”. We are only able to work with what we have. Although excellent results are to be expected, it is possible that after any treatment the face may appear uneven in some areas when the swelling subsides, it is also possible that some area may be greater affected by the product than others. The longevity of filler is different for each individual, what lasts 3-4 months on your friend, may last 12 months on you. The result of dermal filler treatment is dependant on several different factors including; metabolism, age, medical history, natural anatomy and genetics. Please remember this when booking your appointment.
It is not uncommon for the treatment area to remain swollen for up to 2 weeks, in this time period the treated area may feel bumpy, bruised, sore or uneven, you can take paracetamol if it’s uncomfortable, however, please don’t take ibuprofen as this is a blood thinner and will promote swelling. The final result will be apparent approximately 14 days after the treatment.
Avoid touching the treated area or applying make up for 24 hours.
Avoid sunbeds, steam rooms saunas for at least 48 hours.
For lip filler – no smoking for 24 hours.
All dermal filler, avoid alcohol for 24 hours as it promotes bruising and swelling.
Facials & Facial massages should be avoided for 2 weeks.
Stay hydrated by drinking lots of water and stay sassy!
It is advised not to fall asleep on your front to allow the anti-wrinkle injections to settle.
Anti-wrinkle injections usually takes around 7-10 days for effects to show, and 2 weeks to fully come into fruition.
Avoid strenuous exercise and applying makeup in the 4-5 hours following treatment.
In the 48 hours following treatment, avoid heat related environments such as sauna, steam rooms and jacuzzis.
